Puffin is a Cockapoo (sired by a Toy Poodle - Sunrise Jagger's Red Baron with her dam being a Cocker Spaniel, Mulberry's Maggie Sweet T Pie), black with a few sable-tan markings (eyebrows, cheeks, lower legs and butt). She is named in honor of the Atlantic Puffin, a sea bird of Maine (where it has been endangered) and Nova Scotia. She was born July 8, 1998 and came home (Dutchess County, New York) to her new family on September 26, 1998.

She is "quintessentially Cockapoo", with a smooth, wavy, silky coat, sassy but soft features, and at eleven weeks weighed in at three and a half pounds (full grown she's eight and a half pounds). Puffin hails from  Pleasant Valley, New York.  For more information about Cockapoos & breeders, click here.

Puffin carries full registration in the North American Cockapoo Registry , thereby helping the NACR to maintain full and accurate breed records for now and the cockapoos of the future.

Puffin steals the heart of anyone in her path.....all puppydog (even though she's a fullgrown puppy now), warm and fuzzy with a never ending supply of energy and affection. She'll entertain herself with anything ....Jingle Ball is the favorite or her other toys , any bug, leaf, or dust bunny that happens along her path, watching birds, squirrels and bunnies, airplanes or TV, twanging the spring doorstops... but of course it's much more fun if there's a willing human around and she'll do her darndest to convince you that you are the willing human. If these fail to provide fun and games she'll snuggle into Pod (sheep-plush nest bed) or her crate, a conglomeration of a bed, Blanky, Binky & Rover. Pod will routinely be dragged to the closest patch of sunshine. The most favorite is snuggling and squirming in human arms or a good old toss and tumble with a hefty dose of ear scratches and belly rubs. If it's time to conk out the preferred place is on or adjacent to the nearest non-moving human or on Ginny's bed. Even though she's pretty well grown up, in her heart she'll always be a puppy.

For the current adventures....go to Puffin Escapades, or to start from the beginning go to Life with Puffin.

Just to make life even more interesting, Puffin's half sister came to live next door; click here to meet Zoe.....

In February of 2000, Puffin was fully registered with the North American Cockapoo Registry.
